Trustees

The role of the Trustee Board is to provide governance and oversight to the charity. It is staffed by non-executive members with relevant skills to help create strategic plans and make decisions regarding the execution of those plans, whilst providing support and guidance to the staff in their everyday roles.

The Trustees all subscribe to the Charity Governance Code.

Board Constitution

The board consists of between 3 and 10 (currently 6) Trustees who hold regular meetings to assist the operational management on matters relating to Fund-raising, Financial Management, Events Management and Strategic Planning.

Michael Thornton
Chair

Michael is the inspiration behind the charity and also MD of KSM Telecom.

Ashley Cullen
Secretary

Ashely is a retired IBM Executive and is now Trustee (Deputy Chair) at Citizens Advice Portsmouth, Governor at City of Portsmouth College, and Chair at Hampshire Volleyball Association.

Hasmukh Patel
Treasurer

Husky is a retired IBM Sales Executive now working at KSM Telecom and is also a Havant Councillor.

Lauren de Vries
Programme Executive

Lauren is the Founder of LDV Works.

Darren Bridgman CMgr MCMI
Events Consultant

Darren is CEO of Peter Ashley Activity Centres.

Website Manager

Bill is a retired IBM Service Executive and also a trustee at Portsmouth disability charity Enable Ability.
