Monica Appeal is a new charitable organization set up to provide a bridge between the many local businesses who see social inclusion and support as an important part of their DNA and the huge number of charities and community groups within the Portsmouth area.

The board of Trustees is now looking for someone to join the team to help manage the coordination of charity’ needs with resourcing offers.
As this is very much a start-up phase we anticipate that initially the role will be supported on a voluntary basis with 3 to 4 hours per week growing to a paid position of 12 to 15 hours per week within a year.
Experience of the local charity sector is desirable but not mandatory however, good organizational skills, excellent communications both written and verbal, IT (Microsoft suite) competency and most importantly the ability to work within an enthusiastic team of Trustee professionals are paramount.
Key responsibilities would include:
- Communicating with charities and businesses
- Maintaining a database of needs and offers
- Scheduling matched needs and offers and tracking progress
- Monitoring email account(s)
- Attending quarterly Trustee meetings and taking minutes
The role will report to the Chair of Trustees.
